Obituary

Joseph George Corey, 75, of Mason, OH, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, in Mason. He was born on October 26, 1937, in Terre Haute, to the late George Joseph and Adla Corey. He grew up attending St. George Orthodox Church with his parents and attended World Gospel Church for over 40 years as an adult. Joe graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1956. He received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry from Indiana University. He then went on to receive a PhD in Pharmacy from Butler University. Joe was a Pharmacist until he retired in 2008. Joseph George Corey, 75, of Mason, OH, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, in Mason. He was born on October 26, 1937, in Terre Haute, to the late George Joseph and Adla Corey. He grew up attending St. George Orthodox Church with his parents and attended World Gospel Church for over 40 years as an adult.

Joe graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1956. He received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry from Indiana University. He then went on to receive a PhD in Pharmacy from Butler University. Joe was a Pharmacist until he retired in 2008. He enjoyed providing care and advice to his many patrons who trusted him to fill prescriptions during his 40 year career.

Joe is survived by his sons, Timothy George Corey and his wife Niki of Casey, IL and Daniel Joseph Corey and his wife Lisa of Loveland, OH; sisters, Vicki Collins and her husband John and Georgetta Rosenquist and her husband Bob; three grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 until noon on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. William Coker and Rev. Larry Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Joe be given to the World Gospel Church Mission Fund.
