Joseph Scott Dunkin, 84, of Stafford County, passed away April 20, 2014. He was born in Flora, Indiana on May 17, 1929. He is survived by his wife Barbara Dunkin; daughters, Candy Perry (Jerry) of Tappahannock, Va., Cheryl Foster (Bobbie) of Atlanta, Ga., Tawana Mountjoy (John) of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister Norma Shaefer of Indiana; step-son Adam Sullivan (Emily) of Irvine, Ca.; step-daughter Julie Rose (Kyle) of Locust Grove, Va. four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph Scott Dunkin, 84, of Stafford County, passed away April 20, 2014. He was born in Flora, Indiana on May 17, 1929.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Dunkin; daughters, Candy Perry (Jerry) of Tappahannock, Va., Cheryl Foster (Bobbie) of Atlanta, Ga., Tawana Mountjoy (John) of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister Norma Shaefer of Indiana; step-son Adam Sullivan (Emily) of Irvine, Ca.; step-daughter Julie Rose (Kyle) of Locust Grove, Va. four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Meridith and Beulah Clingenpeel Dunkin and former wife Agnes Bayliss Dunkin.

He served as a Chaplain's assistant in the Air Force and was a retired teacher/administrator at Stafford Senior High School.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. St. Matthias Church, 426 Deacon Rd. Fredericksburg, Va. 22405. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
