Joseph W Fisher Sr. 83, of Louisville KY., formerly of Beacon NY,
passed away peacefully, on April 5 2013, surrounded by family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mabelle G. (Strahl) Fisher,
his children, Joseph W Fisher Jr. Louisville KY., Grace E. Ostrander
(Doug) Beacon NY, James R. Fisher (Marian) Louisville KY.,
John D. Fisher(June) Wartrace TN., Carrie A. Santana (Aramis)
New Smyrna Beach Fl,., sister in law Veronica "Lambie" Griffin Punta Gorda
Fl. Grandchildren Lauren, Stephen, Carolyn (Aleks),DJ, Catherine (Jeff),
Rick, Amanda, Mandy (Keith), Ricky & Elena several great grandchildren
and a great, great granddaughter.
He was a member of Briargate Presbyterian Church of Louisville, KY,
American Legion Post 1034 Wallkill, NY. Joe retired from National Biscuit
Co. after 40 Years. He was a Veteran of the US Navy serving during the
Korean War (Tin Can Sailor), Former Boy Scout leader of Troop #1,
Beacon, NY. Joe was also an avid Model Railroader. Inurnment will
be Friday, April 19th, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff KY.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be conducted at Saturday, April 20th at
1:00 PM at Briargate Presbyterian Church, 2100 Upper Hunters Trace Louisville, Ky.
The family would like to sincerely thank Hosparus, the Staff of Ponder Creek
Estate , and the staff of St. Mary's and Elizabeth Hospital, for the loving care of
Joe during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hosparus or
Briargate Presbyterian Church.
