Joseph Konstontin Kernozicky 92, of Keene, NH, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Langdon Place of Keene. He was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont, August 10, 1921, the son of Eva Wasilonova (Novak) and Konstontin Roman Kernozicky, Sr. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. Following the war, he continued his service as a member of the Army National Guard. A resident of Keene for most of his life, Mr. Kernozicky worked for over thirty years with the former American Optical Company of Keene. He also owned and operated J.K. Joseph Konstontin Kernozicky 92, of Keene, NH, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Langdon Place of Keene.

He was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont, August 10, 1921, the son of Eva Wasilonova (Novak) and Konstontin Roman Kernozicky, Sr.

He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. Following the war, he continued his service as a member of the Army National Guard.

A resident of Keene for most of his life, Mr. Kernozicky worked for over thirty years with the former American Optical Company of Keene. He also owned and operated J.K. Kernozicky & Son Chimney Sweep.

For many years, he brought great joy to children and their families, playing the role of Santa.

He was very active in his community, serving in many organizations. He was especially proud of his time as a driver for the NH West Chapter of the American Red Cross here in Keene. He was well known as the "giver of all sorts of buttons" to everyone he met.

Mr. Kernozicky was a member of the United Church of Christ in Keene where he had been very active in church activities.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Elaine M. Kernozicky of Keene; two grandchildren, Garrett J. Kernozicky and his wife, Stephanie, of Storrs, CT, Kirstin LeClair and her husband, Timothy, of Chandler, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Blake Kernozicky, Seth Kernozicky, Julie LeClair, Cameron LeClair; several nieces and nephews; five step-children, Dayton Darling of Hawthorne, FL, Philip Darling of Epping, NH, Heather Wilson of Albuquerque, NM, Ian Wilson of Keene, Scott Wilson of Rye, NY, and numerous step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Henrietta (Brown) Kernozicky in 1977; his second wife, Martha L. (Nims) Kernozicky in 2007; two brothers, Roger Kernozicky in 1970, Konstontin R. Kernozicky, Jr. in 1990; a sister, Olga Watkins in 1982; and his son, Gary J. Kernozicky in 2012.

Funeral services and burial in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Keene, will be private.
