Joseph H. Windish Joseph H. Windish, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 25. Born in Bethlehem, PA, he was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and attended Moravian College. He was a Korean veteran and while in the Army, he taught Basic Electronics at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX. Later, as a Philco Technical Representative he taught Advanced Electronics at Fort Bliss. He was employed by Convair Aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base, Lancaster, CA and Cubic Corporation, San Diego, CA and Melbourne, FL where he worked on Missile Tracking Systems on Cape Canaveral. Joseph H. Windish, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 25.

Born in Bethlehem, PA, he was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and attended Moravian College.

He was a Korean veteran and while in the Army, he taught Basic Electronics at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX. Later, as a Philco Technical Representative he taught Advanced Electronics at Fort Bliss.

He was employed by Convair Aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base, Lancaster, CA and Cubic Corporation, San Diego, CA and Melbourne, FL where he worked on Missile Tracking Systems on Cape Canaveral.

Back in PA, he set up the Industrial Parts Department at D&H Distributing in Harrisburg. He worked for ITT Terryphone, before starting Trionic Industries Inc., a business of manufacturing and bidding contracts for Mechanicsburg Naval Depot. He was president for 20 years and during that time he was a member of the Board of Standards of the National Gas Association in Chicago, IL, since he had a patent on an Energy Saving device.

He was General Manager for FM Lopez and Son, manufacturing buoys for the Coast Guard and General Manager for Atlas Steel Company, York, PA before retiring.

He was a charter member of the Holy Name of Jesus Church, Harrisburg; was Finance Chairman on the Associate Board of the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Emmitsburg, MD.

He and his wife were Regional Links for the Co-Workers of Mother Teresa of Calcutta and attended two conventions with Mother Teresa in Minneapolis, MN.

He was a life member of the Shellsville VFW, Post 9639 and a member of the Linglestown American Legion Post 272.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Beck), his sons, Joseph Jr., Milledgeville, GA , Karl and wife Lien, and Kurt, both of Harrisburg; his daughter, Betty Jane, wife of Randy Meagher, of Lemoyne; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Harrisburg, on Wednesday, May 2nd, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy name of Jesus Church's Building Fund.
