Josephine Giuffrida, 82, of Fresno, California passed away May 5, 2017. Born in Brooklyn NY on September 22, 1934; Josephine Giuffrida began her journey through life. Josephine was the youngest daughter of Angelo Castelli and her mother, Angelina Marotta, along with her brother Angelo Jr. Castelli. Josephine, a hard working woman, joined Horace "Phil" Giuffrida in holy matrimony on October 25, 1958, and was married 52 years until his passing on March 2, 2010. They both raised their two children Robert Giuffrida and Steven Giuffrida who are well-rounded, compassionate adults. Josephine cherished being a wife, mother, and friend dedicating much of her life to helping others.



Josephine Guiffrida was primarily a homemaker and the backbone of her family. She also worked as a bookkeeper in NYC along with other administrative assistance positions in top-notch organizations throughout her life. Josephine had two grandchildren; Dominic Giuffrida and Sophia Guiffrida of Fresno California and daughter-in-law Tosha Giuffrida who she loved dearly. She was a wonderful grandmother, mother-in-law, wife, mother, and friend who loved and appreciated the wonderful times spent with others.



Josephine Guiffrida was preceded in death by her husband Horace "Phil" Giuffrida, her father Angelo Castelli, and mother, Angelina Marotta.



Rather than mourn the death of Josephine, she wanted her family and friends to celebrate her life. She requested we remember her for all the happy times she shared with those she loved. Her family and friends will miss Josephine. She lived a wonderful life, and she passed on with dignity, comfort, and with grace as she was completely connected to the Lord her entire life. What a wonderful women, what a beautiful life, what an incredible legacy, what an extraordinary passing as heaven opens its gates for such an authentic women.
