Josephine Mary LaBauve 94, passed away September 9, 2017 (5:13AM) at Memorial Hermann Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. Mary was born on October 13, 1922, in Bay City, Texas. Daughter of Josephine Louise Webber and John Webber Sr. At the age 7, Mary and her family watched the stock market crash, from that point on the Great Depression was present for three years. Following up to the beginning of WWII. Not only did these events make Mary a stronger person but made her the person she was. From time when she was a little girl till the day she passed away she has always carried a high energy, an outgoing sense of humor, and an unconditional love for everyone. She joins: her younger sister, Rosalie Elizabeth Stringer, and husband, Elwood Eugene LaBauve, Jr. She leaves behind: sons and daughters-in-law, Elwood Eugene (Gene) LaBauve, III and Mary, Larry Lee LaBauve and Jeannie; daughter and son-in-law Mary Denise LaBauve Ruiz and Richard; brother and sister-in-law John Webber, Jr and Ann; six grandchildren; Chris, Bruce, Randi, Cori, Talina, and Bailey; six great grandchildren; and many close family members and friends. Mary found the love of her life at Austin high school. April 12, 1947, Elwood and Mary got married and shortly after the two lovebirds started their beautiful family. Occupation: Home maker, Avon, and seamstress. After her husband Elwood Eugene LaBauve retired him and Mary traveled all around the United States, including Germany. They also loved to spend time with their grandchildren together. Mary and her husband were married for 46 years. After her husband passed away on November 23, 1993 she further dedicated herself to the church (St. Paul's Epicopal Church) and loved gardening.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 17, from 4PM to 6 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, at 1 PM.
