Joshua Glenn Cain, 21, passed away August 21, 2014, in a tragic accident.

Josh was born in Arlington, Texas on January 27, 1993 to Mark and Pamela Cain. He lived his entire life in the metroplex and had friends everywhere he went. Josh was a gentle soul – he loved life, his family and his friends. He was a natural athlete who made everything look easy! He was always sensitive to the underdog but fiercely competitive too. He loved baseball, football and, most recently, sand volleyball. He was a very accomplished volleyball player and teams loved to snag him to play for them.

In spite of his young age, Josh was an "old soul". He understood the importance of family and how important it was to support each other. Josh appreciated everyone who mentored him and all of the role models he was lucky enough to have. One of his greatest accomplishments was getting his high school diploma from Keys Learning Center. He worked hard to make this happen and was so proud to graduate.

Josh would want everyone to look forward, down the road, and to honor him by "paying it forward". He was a handsome young man with a lot of life in him. Like all young people, he made some bad decisions along the way, but he learned from his mistakes and was excited about his future and the opportunities before him.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Josh's memory to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (www.MADD.org/Support-MADD).

Josh was preceded in death by: great-grandmother Doris Daley of Salem, Ohio; great-grandparents Robert (Papa) and Edith (Nanny) Cain of Arlington.

Josh is survived by: mother Pamela Cain, of Mansfield; father Mark Cain, of Duncanville; sister Maegan Ford, of Bedford; half-brother Seth Cain;
grandmother Ruth Daley of Bedford; grandfather David Daley of Mansfield; grandfather Robert Cain of Arlington; aunt Lana Daley and her partner Robin King of Bedford; aunt Lindsay Cain; great-aunt Kim Cain and her partner Lori Miller of Norman Oklahoma; great-uncle Steven Cain and his partner Doug Johnson of Coppell; nephew Noah Ford and niece Adilynn Boehme; cousins Chelsea Dunn and Ryan King; and great-great-aunts Babes (Hazel) Thompson and Mete (Margarete) Young. Josh is also survived by a multitude of friends that he considered his extended family.
Keep on truckin' Josh! We love you!
