JOSIAH FRANCIS “JOE” STANSBURY Josiah Francis Stansbury, 85, son of Linville and Pearl Stansbury of Oregon, Mo., passed away July 8, 2014. Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, with visitation one hour prior. Joe taught school for 36 years and tutored in an alternative school for four years. He graduated from Oregon High School and earned his BS and MS degrees from Northwest College, Maryville, Mo. Joe was a member of One Spirit United Methodist Church, life member of VFW Post 4242, Missouri State Teachers Association and Missouri Retirement Teachers Association. JOSIAH FRANCIS “JOE” STANSBURY



Josiah Francis Stansbury, 85, son of Linville and Pearl Stansbury of Oregon, Mo., passed away July 8, 2014. Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, with visitation one hour prior. Joe taught school for 36 years and tutored in an alternative school for four years. He graduated from Oregon High School and earned his BS and MS degrees from Northwest College, Maryville, Mo. Joe was a member of One Spirit United Methodist Church, life member of VFW Post 4242, Missouri State Teachers Association and Missouri Retirement Teachers Association. He served two years in the Army (Korea) and was a Sachem in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say BSA. He always tried to get someone to smile. The past six decades he has decorated family member's graves including those who he never knew only from hearing of them. This included cemeteries in Grove, Okla., as well as Floral Hills, Gower, Highland and Oregon in Mo. He leaves a good family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Zereldia, his three sisters, Ivy, Virginia and Katherine, brother, Cecil and grandson, Christopher. Surviving are two sons, Gary and Wayne, three grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Condolences may be left at www.floralhillsfuneralhome.com Arr.: D.W.
