Joy Louise Turk Taylor, 73, departed from this earth on April 27, 2012 to be with her Lord. She fought a long hard battle with dignity. She was born January 11, 1939 in Oklahoma City to George A. Turk and Daisy Dean Fisher Turk-Webb. She married Richard Lee Taylor on October 23, 1961. Joy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, brother- George A. Turk, Jr. and step-daughter Tracey Taylor. She is survived by three children; Curtis Tubbs (Diana) of Yukon, Dennis Tubbs (Shelly) of Yukon, Shari Taylor of Oklahoma City and step-son Lee...
Joy Louise Turk Taylor, 73, departed from this earth on April 27, 2012 to be with her Lord. She fought a long hard battle with dignity. She was born January 11, 1939 in Oklahoma City to George A. Turk and Daisy Dean Fisher Turk-Webb. She married Richard Lee Taylor on October 23, 1961. Joy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, brother- George A. Turk, Jr. and step-daughter Tracey Taylor. She is survived by three children; Curtis Tubbs (Diana) of Yukon, Dennis Tubbs (Shelly) of Yukon, Shari Taylor of Oklahoma City and step-son Lee Richard Taylor of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy J. Turk of Mustang, OK, Jimmy Dean Webb (Vickey) of Lexington, OK; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a devout Catholic and loved her religion. Her life revolved around her family and friends. She loved and adored her cats. They slept by her side to the very end. She fed and cared for any and all animals that came into her life. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. She will be in our hearts forever, gone but not forgotten. We love you Mom. The family would like to express special appreciation and gratitude for the exceptional care of Joy to Kaycee Mutz of Good Shepherd Hospice who went above and beyond for Joy and the family. In lieu of flowers, please send memoriam donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4350 Will Rogers Parkway, Ste 400, Oklahoma City, OK 73108. A rosary service will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 6:30 pm at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel. A mass will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Church with interment to follow.
