Mrs. Abrecht was a Claims Agent for Kempers Insurance Company in Summit for 25 years before retiring in 1993. Joyce enjoyed golfing, traveling, her trips to Atlantic City, and most of all, spending her time with her family and friends.. Joyce is also survived by 6 step-sons, Douglas Smith of Egg Harbor, NJ; Craig Smith & his wife Mary of Farmingdale, NJ; Herb Abrecht of Belmar; Russell Abrecht & his wife Helen-Jane of Brielle; Jeffrey Abrecht & his wife Lori of Manasquan and Curt Abrecht & his wife Jennifer of Wall Twp. 2 step-daughters, Michaele Sedlock & her husband Andrew of Klamath Falls, OR. and Sharon Driscoll of Henderson, NV. 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral services will begin at 6:30pm in the evening at the funeral home. Interment will be private the following morning at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
