Juan Alberto Diaz-Melendez Jr., 68, of Deltona, FL entered eternal peace and rest on March 27, 2014 at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. He was born on May 4, 1945 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He lived in New York City for the majority of his life, before retiring to Florida in 2005 after a 36 year career with the United States Postal Service. He is a Vietnam veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1968-1973. He loved boxing, mixed martial arts, fishing, music and family gatherings. He was born on May 4, 1945 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He was predeceased by his father, Juan Sr. in 1988. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kim; mother, Margarita; sisters, Edith (Mingo), Norma (Manny) and Carmen; sister in-laws, Ida (Elmer) and Barbara; brother in-laws, Timothy and Mark; children, Debra, Daniel (Mila) and Tyron; grandchildren, Joseph, Ernesto, Anthony, Dominick, Alysa, Tiana, Tylor, Sophia, Jadia, David & Karla; one godson, Michael and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends
