Juanita Irene James, 83, of Johns, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. The family will also receive friends 12:00-2:00pm, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 followed by funeral services at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Johns Cemetery.

She was born Tuesday, March 29, 1932 in Tippah County, a daughter of the late Henry Oliver Hodum and Lula Crum Hodum.

Juanita's family was the most important thing to her. She was always the happiest when she was able to visit with her family and cook for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Clifford James; and siblings, Hoyt Hodum, Grady Hodum, Clarence Hodum, J.M. Hodum and Kelsey Hodum.

Survivors include children, Ricky James (Patia) of Florence, Kathy Burnham of Brandon, Gary James (Brenda) of Johns, Randy James (Carolyn) of Houma, LA and Larry James (Crystel) of Richland; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Kare-In-Home Health Services. We will forever be grateful and thankful for the love and tender care that was shown to Maw James during this difficult time.
