Brown, Juanita Miley, age 79 was born in Dallas County, Alabama on February 1, 1935. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Littleton and Mae Elder Miley, a brother Joseph L. Miley, Jr.
and her husband, William Edward Brown. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Hilda "Maisie" Metcalf
Miley of Loveland, CO and two nieces, Sherry Lynn Stockley of Loveland, CO and Donna McCord of
Broomfield, CO.
She attended Decatur Street Elementary, Baldwin Jr. High School and graduated from Sidney Lanier High
School in 1953. She and Ed Brown married on March 13, 1953. He was a basketball player and truck
driver. Juanita worked in a variety of positions at Durr Drug Company for 42 years. She leaves to
cherish her memory best friends, Ann and Dash Gollott of Mobile, AL, Shirley Keese of Montgomery, AL
and her many friends at First Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL. The compassionate services of her
caregivers (Mary Bell Benson, Harriett Bailey, Thelma Blank) and Baptist Hospice was greatly
appreciated.
A graveside service at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery will be held on Thursday, March 27,2014 at
2:00 p.m. with Reverend Tom Randall officiating. Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m,
preceding the Montgomery Memorial Cemetery graveside service.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Foundation, c/o First Baptist Church, 305 South
Perry Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.

So very sad to hear of Juanita,s passing but I know she will be in her heavenly home with her loved ones. She was a dear friend and neighbor. She was so blessed to have Shirley Keese and Mary to help her through her troubled days. I know God will bless them both. Since I moved to Georgia she and I became pen pals, and we enjoyed sharing news with each other. Rest well Jaunita
