I think of how wonderful Mrs. Sterchi would make me feel after she would leave my house after getting her hair done, or coming over for a little visit. I was a young wife and mother when we moved next door to Betty and Larry. She would come over for little chats and I so looked forward to each visit. I cherish the paintings that I have of hers. I loved the feeling I got when I was around her. What an inspiration! The last time I saw her at Sarah's wedding, she still had the same gift of making people want to be around her. I am sure her family, whom she loved so much, only knows this too well. How she will be missed. May God Bless you during this time, as only He can.

Every time I look at my living room wall, I think of Juanita painting a basket of fresh petunias from her garden. She welcomed us to Chattanooga when we came here in 1980 and invited us to join Murray Hills Garden Club. It was a great way to meet some wonderful people. Mother and I will never forget her graciousness.
