Julia V. Albanese, 75, of Tropical Isles Circle, Fort Pierce, Florida, died peacefully on September 18, 2010. She was the wife of Frank Albanese, Sr.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Luigi and Rosalie (Mancini) Valentino, Julia was a former resident of Greenville before she and her husband moved to Florida in 1995.
Mrs. Albanese was a L.P.N. for Rhode Island Hospital for 21 years before retiring in 1992.
She was the sister of Louis Valentino of Central Falls; mother of Claire Albanese and Holly Albanese, both of Florida, Frank Albanese, Jr. of Ohio, Robert Albanese of New York and Kenneth Albanese of Virginia. She also leaves 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service on Saturday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
