Obituary

Julia Ramsay Mead died May 6, 2014. She was born in Chicago, IL to Ernestine Smith Ramsay and moved to Jacksonville in 1947. She was the granddaughter of Windle W. Smith and Julia Sherwood Smith of Jacksonville. Mrs. Mead attended Fairfax Hall and Mary Baldwin College and was a member of Timuquana Country Club, the Jr. League, and the Accacia Garden Club. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, James Mead.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Jimmy, Ramsay, and Tommy (Cindy); and two grandchildren, Christopher Mead and Jenny Borerro.
Graveside services will be Monday, May 12 at 11 am at Evergreen Cemetery, Gate 5 --- Main St, Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice or the charity of choice.
Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home 729 S. Edgewood Ave is in charge of arrangements.
