Julia was born September 26, 1950 in Middletown, OH. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1969 and attended Drake University where she met her husband, Gerry. Julia retired as a Systems Analyst in IT for Principal Financial Group in April 2010 after 39 years. After retirement, she started a second career as a travel agent and worked for Blue Seas Travel and Sail Aweigh Travel. Julia loved to travel the world. Watching the ocean and whales was also a joy of hers. She also served as the travel agent for the biannual Caribbean Thanksgiving vacation. Her favorite sport was shopping and shoes were her greatest catch. There was never a coupon or sale that was safe from her prowl.

Julia is survived by her husband, Gerald Page of Clive; daughter, Annissa (Ronnie) Roland of Savannah, GA; son, Warren (Savannah) Page of Perry; two brothers, Henry (Cheryl) Cofield of Middletown, OH and Robert Cofield of Lebanon, OH; sister, Ossie Johnson of Groveport, OH; grandchildren, Dominique Roland, Nigel Roland, Warren Page II, Julia Roland, Wesley Page, Madison Dittmer, Taryne Page, and Maliegha Page; mother-in-law, Barbara Long of West Des Moines and a host of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Johnson and mother, Mandy Ossie (Roberson) Johnson of Franklin, OH.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McLaren's Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Eddie Davis Community Center, 1312 Maple Street, West Des Moines, IA 50265.
