Always willing to help and no doubt if there was a need for any type of tool or yard equipment needed, Leo had it. What a presence as a next door neighbor. He would keep an eye on things for us when we were out of town. I will miss him listening to church recordings while tinkering with something in his garage. I won't forget as Donna and I were cleaning our siding this past summer. Leo brought over this incredible pole that would have reached seemingly 5 stories high. Nevertheless, with that we got the job done. Always! Willing to help! We pray God's presence be with Patsy and family during these difficult days. Rest in Peace Leo.

As I reflect on the visitation for my uncle Leo on Monday night November 27th. I realized how many friends and neighbors came out to say good bye to him. Yes The Cawthorne's were a large family and it will continue to grow as the children and grandchildren continue to grow. I didn't now uncle Leo as well as I should have and that is my fault. But I am to do better. Uncle Leo was a man of God and he also loved his church. Thomas Road Baptist Church and he and his wife were dear friends for many years of the Falwell's before their passing. One thing in noticed on his lapel was his Jesus First Lapel Pin. I am sure he wore it proudly. We al should put Jesus 1st in our lives. Rest in Peace Uncle Leo and when you see mom tell her I am doing find.

Dearest Patsy and family.
How I pray now for Gods peace and strength to rest on each of you. Leo was such a special guy, always willing to help someone. He liked to murmer at times but then ended up making us laugh. I will miss his usual greeting to me, How's Yogi? He said it even in the hospital in these last few days. I knew he was checking on Augie in spite of his own needs. It surely seems God took him too quickly. But we must be thankful he is out of pain. How wonderful we know we will meet again. He'll be having a celebration with so many loved ones gone before, maybe even singing - what a thought.
I have seen Gods grace meet your needs and give each of you peace in these last few days. It is a chance to know Gods goodness in a way you may never have before. Leo surely loved his family and would do anything for you all. He served well- so often behind the scenes but serving! He loved and was loved by so many, can't get much better than that.
I love you and your family dearly Patsy. Thanks for such wonderful friendship. May the peace of God which surpasses human understanding, encompass and enfold each of you during this time of grief, and through all the days ahead.
