Julius "Juki" Reinhardt Fung Sr., 84, was born March 6, 1929 and passed away at his home on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Private burial will be held at Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii. As a young man Julius enlisted in the United States Army becoming a much decorated veteran before retiring after 24 years of honorable service and also retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Des Moines. He was awarded the following military awards and decorations; Bronze Star Medal, Two Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars,...

He was awarded the following military awards and decorations; Bronze Star Medal, Two Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, United Nations Medal, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation with Palm and the Republic of Vietnam Civil Action Unit Citation w/ Palm and Frame.

Julius is survived by his sons, Julius "Jay" Fung Jr. and Clarence Fung; and his brother, John D. (Sonny) Fung.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Fung Sr. and Catherine Reinhardt Fung; and brothers Fredrick (Freddy) Fung, Harvey "Harry" Fung, George Fung, and Joseph Fung Jr. all of Honolulu.
