I remember Boy as being someone I was able to laugh and joke with a lot from our Ateneo Grade School days, especially as he was also my bus mate when he used to live on Sta. Cecilia St., not to far of from the New Manila area where I stayed. I am saddened by his passing, and especially as I don't think I ever saw him again after he left for the U.S. My deepest sympathies to you and your family on his passing. I pray that the presence of loved ones and friends, together with the kind words spoken, help to provide you with strength and encouragement in the days to come. God bless you and continue to be with you at this time.

I remember Lino (or Boy as we fondly call him during college) as a fellow Betan (member of the Beta Epsilon fraternity), intelligent, very friendly and always wearing a smile. He loved playing bridge or exchanging pleasantries while hanging out at the Eng'g. lobby, passing time between classes. When it comes to his studies, very serious... I was a batch ahead of him (he was batch '75B) when he joined the fraternity. What I admired about him is his bright disposition, his loyalty, his dependability and willingness to help others. I admired him even more when he joined the US Navy as an officer. How I wished to meet him here in US when I migrated in the early 80s. When I learned that he retired from the Navy, I was optimistic about the greater chance to meet him. But with this sad news of his untimely demise, I was heart broken. I could feel the pain of his surviving family, to whom I can only offer my deepest condolence. May the Good Lord Jesus bless his soul and comfort Lino in His loving arms. Farewell brod. We will miss you a lot.
