To all of Karen's Family we send our greatest sympathy. She was great friend and she will be remembered to us with all her loving comments of her family, Wolfe Island and Margaret. We had a few days of showing her parts of Ontario. We laughed, shopped, ate, bought antiques and laughed some more. There were many phone calls and her last words to me were "I love you guys and take care", and I will always hear her saying that in my memories. Maragret, she really loved you and cared about you and your health, for she would always be worried about you. Take care and you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I only had the pleasure of spending time with your mom back in the "50"s" We belonged to the same girl scout troop and shared many fun times at camp and meetings. This friendship lasted thru high school and a few years past that. Life then sent us in different directions and we never met up again. I do recall how much fun she was, and how she liked to "push the envelope" a bit. Seems like that was part of her more adult life as well. Reading the other entries in the guest book--it is evident she kept her zest for living, having fun and being a good friend to all. I shall remember her in my prayers.

Jeanine Seeley (Mrs. Fred Chris Rabe)

As Karen's sister-in-law, Jeanine, who was married to her brother Fred Chris Rabe (1924-2007), for over 40 years, words cannot express the depth of my sympathy, for her delightful life partner Margaret, her three beautiful daughters, Sue, Pam, and Amy, and their spouses and children. Fred and I not only watched the girls grow up, but shared many wonderful times, with their dad Tom, and Karen, like attending an outdoor art festival, with them. Fred painted their first apartment, for them. They, and, later, Karen and Margaret, hosted so many wonderful family parties, including a 66th birthday anniversary party, for Fred, on September 23, 1990. We are pictured wearing party hats and big smiles, with Doris Rabe, Marie Rabe, and Karen, on that year's photo-letter. There are simply too many wonderful memories, of this special lady, to relate here. Karen, Chuck, Fred, and Bob are surely reunited in spirit, with their parents, Marie and Fred, their grandparents, and all of the other dear departed Vogel-Rabe family members, of whom Fred and I were so fond.

My dearest sympathies go out to Aunt Margaret, Amy, Pam, Sue and the rest of the beloved family of my dear great Aunt Karen. Aunt Karen had the heart of a saint and shared her love in way that made you feel special even when it had been years since your last visit. She could brighten the room with her smile and will always be remembered for her kind heart. Growing up Aunt Karen and Aunt Margaret would always take care of me when I would visit their shop. As I got older I began to look up to her and see all of the wonderful things that made her special. This is a huge loss for the Rabe family to lose the matriarch of our family. Above all I will remember laughing with her until my sides hurt and that is the memory I know she would want me to carry on and share as we all live a small part of her legacy. Love Megan and Nicole.

The things I remember about growing up usually involve your family. Your mom gave me so much love, and really, anyone who stepped in your house felt sheltered. I have always carried that feeling within me. Love is shared, grown, passed on. Your mom most definitely showed me that and so I will continue to teach others. Love to you all, Karen lives on in our hearts forever!

Dearest Amy, Sue, Pam and families,
There are no words, to express my deepest sympathy over the loss of your mom, and no words to express the loss that we feel as well. Your mom was an exceptional person, from my very earliest memories of her, to the very present. Aunt Karen loved with her whole being; she would grab you and hug you and it was the best feeling. I will always hear the sound of her laughter, and remember the sincerity in which she
cared. I have so many feelings and so much I feel I want to say, but there is no language of words that could possibly convey the love and admiration that I felt for my "Auntie Karen". I want you to hopefully remember, that you girls had the best mom in the word, and although it was most definitely too short of time, it was certainly real and full of love.
God Bless all of you.

Dear Pam, Sue, Amy, and your families,
I know this is an extremely difficult time for all of you.
Your mom, (my aunt) was so precious and wonderful to me. She lit up a room when she entered with her joy, laughter, loving, and caring ways.
Her girls and their families were the absolute center of her life. How she smiled whenever she talked about you!
She will be missed by so many. I know our hearts are broken too.
Some day may your hearts be filled with the memories and happiness you shared with her and replace the emptiness and sadness you feel now.
I wish I was able to be there with you today to show you how much I care.
God bless you all every day.
Please feel free to contact me anytime.
Love you.
