Ann (Barber) Haggard
So sorry to hear of Karen's death, and to get the news too late to attend the services. She was the first to call permanent "shot-gun seat" in my '57 Ford convertible, and she was my roommate our freshman year at Auburn. We of the "lunch bunch" group have been amazed at the effort she put forth to be with us, and we have enjoyed her company and that of her wonderful "assistants." Condolences to her large family and special thoughts to "Georgie." Ann Barber Haggard

Family, I walked by Karen's house each day on the way to school. George, was in my brothers class and I in Karen's. As you know, Karen would always keep me straight. So happen to know that she had the Lord living in her. Would be with you but just found out and live out of town. What a great person your mom was to me as we grew up. George, know you miss your sister as I miss my brother Dick. We are family in Edgewood. In Christ Love to All. George Perkins, Sylacauga

Jan and I visited with Karen last Thursday, and realized her critical medical situation. We are so sorry we didn't learn of her death till Tue after the services were in process, as I know many of us from Shades Valley days would have wanted to attend. We all so enjoyed renewing those friendships with her in the last few years with our monthly "SV "Girls" Lunches! Our sympathy to your family. Claire Roberts Adams
