SMITH, Karen Kathleen – passed away at Peterborough, Ontario on Saturday January 25, 2014 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Orvus. Predeceased by Her parents Vera and Emil Hanowski and Fred Vickers. Loving mother of Chris (Sylvia), Rick and Darren (Karen). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Stephanie, Cindy, Michael, Jeffrey,Gennifer, William and Tyler and her 9 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Gord (Sue), June (Steve), Shirley (Paul), Emily (Wayne) and Ed (Sally). Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway 2, Courtice (905-432-8484) where the family will receive friends on Tuesday January 28th from 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the St. Peter's Anglican Church, Oshawa, ON, on Wednesday January 29th at 11 a.m. Please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Karen.
