Karin Holzheimer Marticek died peacefully in Ocean Medical Center in Brick on November 23, 2016. Visiting will be held at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River from 1-6 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2016. A short service will be held at 5 pm.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 4, 1939, Karin and her family came over on the Queen Mary when she was 12. Settling in Haledon, NJ, she met her future husband, Allan Marticek in grade school.
Karin was a unique soul whose door was always open to others. Her generosity was legendary, whether it was "secret scholarships" for her granddaughters' preschool, slipping someone a much needed check, or persuading family members to buy themselves things with her Kohls card and special coupon.
In her younger years, Karin loved family vacations at Midway Beach and traveling with her husband and friends. In recent years, she enjoyed snuggling with her granddaughters and sister, watching "Say Yes to The Dress," "Flea Market Flip," "Hollywood Medium," and Game Show network.
Karin will be welcomed by her mother and father, Eva and Hans Holzheimer, and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. She leaves behind her true love and husband of 54 years, Allan Marticek, her twin sister and "wombmate" Ingrid Rozell, daughter Susan Marticek, daughter Tracey Raimondo and her husband Steve, granddaughters Antonia and Juliana Raimondo, and nieces and nephews Robyn Rozell, Kim, Alan, AJ, Johnny and Andrew Pentaleri, and Albert, Joanne, Joe, Alexa, Michael and Nicholas Rozell.
In lieu of flowers, Karin's family requests donations be made to Seer Farms Animal Sanctuary, PO Box 91, Jackson, NJ 08527, who blessed her with her fur baby Roxie, or Deborah Hospital Foundation 212 Trenton Rd, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. In addition, Karin would like anyone coming to the services to make sure to bring a sweater because it will be chilly outside.

One of my favorite memories is being down the shore with Karin & Al and the gang. White spritzers & Willy Nelson on the back deck of the bungalow on Midway Beach-everyone was welcomed to stay. Karin always had a smile & a hug! Rest In Peace Xxoo
