Katherine "Cass" Kelly Armistead Obituary



Passed away peacefully 8/30/13 in Mesa, Arizona. At the age of 87.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Thomas B Armistead,III. Katherine was born in Pittsburgh, A on 4/14/1926.

She graduated from Sacred Heart School and Finch College both in New York.
She was a travel agent at Pro Travel and Gilner. She was also an avid interior decorator.

She was past president of the Los Angeles Orphanage Guild and a member of Social Services and docent at the Los Angeles county Museum of art.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Armistead Smith(Daniel), son Thomas B Armistead,IV ,grandchildren Thomas Riley Roark, Mary Katherine Roark. Sister Mrs. Julian Hemphill. And many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service was held at Melchers Mission Chapel, Mesa, AZ 9/21/13. Interment was at National Cemetery Phx AZ. A memorial mass will be held at The Church of The Good Shepherd 10/5/13 @ 8:00AM
