Katherine Barnard Alexander, 92 of Stony Point, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Gordon Hospice House. She was born December 13, 1919 in Marlingen, TX, daughter of the late William Elisa and Hannah Broyles Barnard. On July 12, 1948, she married Ernest Ross Alexander who preceded her in death in February 1977. Also preceding her in death were her siblings; Lavola Foster, Gladys Kennedy and Fred Barnard.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Dale Alexander of Stony Point, daughter-in-law, Susan Alexander of Statesville and grandson Samuel Ross Alexander.
Katherine was a member of Stony Point United Methodist Church where services are scheduled for Friday, May 18th at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Blanton and Rev. Donnie Durham officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
