HOCHWALT, Katherine E., age 64, of Kettering passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Kettering Medical Center. Katherine was born on May 16, 1947 in Washington, D.C. to the late Robert J. and Mary S. (Jones) Gartland. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dr. John J. Hochwalt; three children, Julie Fuller and her husband James of Columbus, Ohio, Matthew Hochwalt and his wife Tina of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Carrie Mokros and her husband Michael of Columbus, Ohio; six grandsons, Aiden, Jackson & Alexander Fuller and Brody, Colin & Troy Hochwalt; and two sisters, Mary Emeric and her husband Dario and Janet Devine and her husband...
HOCHWALT, Katherine E., age 64, of Kettering passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Kettering Medical Center. Katherine was born on May 16, 1947 in Washington, D.C. to the late Robert J. and Mary S. (Jones) Gartland. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dr. John J. Katherine received her Bachelor's from George Washington University and her Masters of Education from Ohio State University. She taught 2nd grade until her children arrived and then became a dedicated mother and then grandmother. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45429. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
