Kathleen "Kelly" Cornell passed away peacefully at the age of 85 after a brief illness. She was a very well-known and liked beautician for over sixty years in the Eastwood area. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a long term member of and fundraiser for Catholic Daughters, Syracuse Beauticians League, Francis House and Vera house.
She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Cornell; son, August Cornell; sisters-in-law, Rose Ilacqua, Marylou Marone, and Ida Tiny Ilacqua; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church followed by a burial in Assumption Cemetery. An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday prior to the funeral mass from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, 3127 James Street, Syracuse, NY 13206.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Francis House, Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry, or Vera House. Farone & Son Funeral Home has arrangements.
