Kathleen Finnerty (nee Healy), a longtime Yonkers resident died on Monday June 12, 2017 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. She was 81 years old. She was born on November 8, 1935 to James and Maria Healy in Glenanoy, County Mayo, Ireland where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Finnerty was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony's Church. On February 8, 1975, she married her loving husband, Thomas F. Finnerty in New York City. Mr. Finnerty died on October 23, 1997. She is survived by a brother, James "Sheamus" Healy of New Zealand and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Paddy and two sisters, Mollie & Bridget. "A special thanks to Dr. Thomas Fiorentino for years of loving care." Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball funeral Home Friday morning only 9-10am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony's Church on Friday June 16th at 10:30am. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Calvary Hospital, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, N.Y. 10461 or the charity of your choice.
