Kathleen Semon Baird, 63, of Henryville, passed away Sunday December 29, 2013 at Pocono Medical Center, in East Stroudsburg. Born in Scranton, on March 19, 1950, she was daughter to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Moran) Semon. Kathleen was a graduate of Scranton High School, class of 1968. She continued her education at University of Scranton, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Seton Hall where she obtained her Master's degree and Teachers College of Columbia University, in New York where she earned her Doctorate degree. Kathleen Semon Baird, 63, of Henryville, passed away Sunday December 29, 2013 at Pocono Medical Center, in East Stroudsburg.

Born in Scranton, on March 19, 1950, she was daughter to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Moran) Semon. Kathleen was a graduate of Scranton High School, class of 1968. She continued her education at University of Scranton, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Seton Hall where she obtained her Master's degree and Teachers College of Columbia University, in New York where she earned her Doctorate degree. She was a Nurse Practitioner at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, and for many years and a Nurse Educator at Penn State University, Lehigh Campus, Center Valley.

Kathleen was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church in Tannersville. She was an avid Yankees fan. She enjoyed classical music, ballet, theater, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband of 27 years Robert M. Baird, of Henryville; a daughter: Kelly Scheer and her husband Keith, of Cresco and two loving grandchildren: Tessa and Liam Scheer, of Cresco.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday January 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church, Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville, with Father Richard Czachor officiating. Interment will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, in Moscow.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday January 2, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church.
