Obituary

Kathleen "Honey" Brennan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward M. Brennan. She is survived by her children Patrick (Julie), Michael, Marlene Dempsey, Martin (Kathryn) and Daniel Brennan. She is the grandmother of Mark (Beth), Steven (Erika), Shane, Courtney, Brett Dempsey, Kevin and Steven Kurkie, Kaitlin, Connor and the late Austin Brennan. She is the great grandmother of Claire and the sister of Frederick O'Donnell, Mary Noonan and Sr. Patricia O'Donnell, IHM. She will be missed by her many friends. She was a lifelong educator. Kathleen "Honey" Brennan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward M. Brennan. She is survived by her children Patrick (Julie), Michael, Marlene Dempsey, Martin (Kathryn) and Daniel Brennan. She is the grandmother of Mark (Beth), Steven (Erika), Shane, Courtney, Brett Dempsey, Kevin and Steven Kurkie, Kaitlin, Connor and the late Austin Brennan. She is the great grandmother of Claire and the sister of Frederick O'Donnell, Mary Noonan and Sr. Patricia O'Donnell, IHM. She will be missed by her many friends.

She was a lifelong educator. During her career, she was a teacher in both the public and parochial schools of Redford and later in life she taught culinary classes at Hudson's.

Honey was active in sports and was very athletic. She did speed skating, swam, skied and played basketball.

Honey traveled all over the U.S. and Canada, as well as Ireland, Mexico and the Bahamas. She loved playing cards and going out with her friends. She was an avid reader and Pistons fan. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor.

Friends may visit Honey's family on Friday April 1, 2011 from 3-9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Road Redford, Michigan 48239. The funeral home is located on the north side of Plymouth Road between Telegraph and Beech Daly roads.

Her funeral services will be at St. Valentine Catholic Church on Saturday April 2, 2011 with final viewing at the church from 9:30 am until her funeral Mass at 10 am, celebrated by Fr. Paul Couthina. The church is located at 14841 Beech Daly in Redford, Michigan 48239, on the west side of Beech Daly just south of W. Five Mile Road.
