KATHRYN (KAK) went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2016. What a joyous Thanksgiving homecoming she celebrated! She was predeceased by her sister Marion, father Andrew, mother Mary, brother Tom and nephews Lars and David. She is survived by her sister Martha Balas, niece Diane Weber, close cousins Cindy Sholtis and Joan Halajko and devoted friends Delores Lukotch and Irene Mecha. Kak was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, where she resided until relocating to Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan in 1960 to be with her parents. Kak continued her career in the insurance industry with Versical and Associates until her retirement in 1993. She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Church and St. Bonaventure Third Order Franciscans for over 50 years. Her compassionate nature extended to volunteer services, which included distributing meals on wheels and providing sitter services for the elderly, as well as for felines of her favored friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Basil's Church, Eastpointe, MI on December 6th at 7 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary's cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
