Kathryn L. Tipton, aged 93, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012 in Columbus, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Tipton, Jr. Mrs. Tipton lived in several Western states before settling in Tennessee after her marriage. She graduated from Oregon State College with a 4.0 average. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Chi Theta honorary societies. Mrs. Tipton was a charter member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee where she taught Sunday School for 34 years. She was preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Pritchett, wife of Vaughan Pritchett of Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Tipton is survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.Graveside services will be at 9:30 am Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Jim McCluskey officiating and a memorial service at10:30 am Saturday at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Knoxville Tennessee with Rev.
