Kathy Jo Schneider, 63, of DeRidder, passed away at her residence on May 11, 2017. She was born on June 24, 1953 to parents James and Ruby Schneider. She enjoyed playing Candy Crush, watching Days of Our Lives on TV and loved her little Rat Terrier, Max.

She is preceded in death by her parents; along with her grandparents Robert L. Atkinson and wife Mary Helen.

She is survived by her companion, Johnnie Queen; Beloved Terrier Max; and lifelong friend, Charlotte L. Burch-Craig, all of DeRidder.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm and will resume on Tuesday from 12:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery.

Kathy jo was a very close friend and like a sister to me and my kids called her aunt Kathy.She's gone from this world but not from our hearts we will see her again someday those of us that where close to Kathy jo we will always remember her forever.from Carolyn denby,DeLissa Tramel,gene Wilson and Mary and David Lambert
