Obituary

Kathryn Leigh Althaber, passed away Friday, March 1,2013. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, from 5-7pm. Rosary will be prayed at 7 pm, at St. Bernadette Church, 9020 E 51 Terrace, Kansas City, MO. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 6, at 10 am. Burial will be at 2:00pm at St. Teresa Cemetery in Westphalia, KS. Kathryn was born and raised in Westphalia, Kansas, on February 8, 1925 to Herman and Gertrude (Hamilton) Benne. She was a resident of Raytown since 1954. She retired from Rycom Instruments in 1987. Kathryn was born and raised in Westphalia, Kansas, on February 8, 1925 to Herman and Gertrude (Hamilton) Benne. She was a resident of Raytown since 1954. She retired from Rycom Instruments in 1987. She was a member of St. Bernadette Church, CCW, and St. Theresa Little Flower Ladies Aux, 4962.

Kathryn is preceded into death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and her husband, Howard. She leaves daughter Mary Ann (Greg), and son Michael (Shelly); five grandsons: Jason, Ben, Jon, Austin, and Colton; four great -grandchildren and two step- grandchildren; one brother Bill (Veronica); sister-in-law Lindsey; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO.
