Kavedia Pauline Lambert of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life at her home on Wednesday, July 06, 2016 being 90 years, 5 months and 23 days of age. She was born on January 13, 1926 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Deber Oscar Bennett and the late Effie Sue Matlock Bennett. On September 2, 1957 she married the love of her life Lewis Lambert who preceded her in death after 53 wonderful years of marriage and to this union seven children were born. In addition to her parents and husband Pauline is preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Bowers and her three sisters: Cora Lambert, Ruth Lambert and Ann Byrd. She worked at Great Lakes Steel Mill during World War 2 and was a homemaker for many years. Pauline believed in the Holiness Faith and was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle. She loved to spend her time out in the woods and collecting rocks. She cherished her time that she spent in church or loving on her grandchildren. Often times she could be found in her kitchen cooking up a delicious meal.
Pauline leaves behind to mourn her passing her two sons: Darrell Yother and wife Pat of Mackey Bend, Kentucky and Lewis Bert Lambert Jr. and wife Sharon of London, Kentucky; four daughters: Brenda Cooper and husband Eddie of Barbourville, Kentucky, Malvina Merdia of Boone Heights, Kentucky, Janet Bargo and husband Lonnie of Somerset, Kentucky and Angela Anderson and husband Jessie of South Carolina; one sister: Opal Adams; 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service for Pauline Lambert will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00PM at The Lighthouse Tabernacle Church with Rev. Jimmy Lee and Rev. David Stephens officiating. Special Music will be provided by Rachael Cooper and Ryan Yother. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville City Cemetery at Barbourville with Eddie Cooper, Wayne Broughton, Jonathan Lambert, Joey Bargo, Mike Yother and Darrell Lee Yother serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Hampton Funeral Home and on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 11:00AM until the funeral hour at 2:00PM at Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.
