Kay L. Amundson, 78, of Cable, WI died Monday, October 10, 2011 at her home.
Kay Lane Garvens was born October 25, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI to Harold and Eola (Mayo) Garvens. She was united in marriage to Harold "Swede" Amundson on July 16, 1955 in Ashland, WI and together they raised two sons, David and Jim. Kay taught elementary school in the Cable/Drummond School District until her retirement.
Kay is survived by her sons, David and Jim Amundson, both of Cable; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Swede" and one sister, Ruth Glisch.
In accordance with Kay's wishes there are no services planned at this time.
The Anderson-Nathan-Koerpel Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
