Keith Nicholas Rohatyn late of Estevan passed away at Estevan on Thursday April 1st at the age of 67 years. Keith is survived by his wife, Sheila, son, Sean (Laurie) Rohatyn and their children Damian and Ethan; sisters, Sylvia (Don) Gunderman, Red Deer, Alberta; Ruth (Blair) Elson, Gilbert Plains, MB; Judy (Gary) Moroz, Estevan, SK; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Keith was predeceased by his parents Nickolas and Dorothy Rohatyn, and grandson Daniel Rohatyn.

Keith was born on March 11, 1943 in Bienfait Sk. to Nick and Dorothy Rohatyn. He lived his early years at the Western Dominion Mining camp south of Bienfait. The family moved to Estevan in 1951. He had 3 sisters: Sylvia, Ruth and Judy. He lived the remainder of his life in Estevan.

He attended Valley View School for Grades 1-8 and E.C.I for Grades 9-12. He graduated in 1961. Keith married Sheila Hagel on December 30, 1972. They had one son, Sean, born on January 27, 1975. He was later blessed with two grandsons, Damian (2003) and Ethan (2007).

During his lifetime he worked at Boundary Motors, Dyer Ford Sales, Oilfield Electronics and Allied Cathodic Services Ltd. He loved music and played the guitar, accordion and keyboard. He enjoyed any kind of electronic gadget and computer. He enjoyed building radio controlled airplanes and also loved dogs. Over the years he also enjoyed golfing and curling bonspiels.

Keith was a member of the Estevan Elks Club and was their bookkeeper for 25 years. He had also been a volunteer fire fighter and a member of the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Club. Keith was a private man, with a quiet disposition and was always in the background. He enjoyed taking pictures and photography but not being photographed. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a special brother and uncle. He was a hard worker and always put others needs before his own. Keith will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held for Keith on Thursday April 8, 2010 at Estevan City Cemetery. Keith's family and friends will gather afterwards for lunch and a tribute to Keith's life at the Elks Hall. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Elks Purple Cross Fund, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or a charity of personal choice.
