Obituary

Kenneth Beam, Sr., 73, of Fort Smith, AR passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Barling. He was the owner of Beam Asphalt and Beam Crane Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Rosie Beam, a brother, Jim Beam and one nephew, Danny Smith. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Hartford Memorial Park. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Beam, Jr. and wife, Virginia of Van Buren and Steve Beam and wife, Debra of Barling; one...
Kenneth Beam, Sr., 73, of Fort Smith, AR passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 in Barling. He was the owner of Beam Asphalt and Beam Crane Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Rosie Beam, a brother, Jim Beam and one nephew, Danny Smith.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Hartford Memorial Park. Viewing will be Thursday from 1 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Beam, Jr. and wife, Virginia of Van Buren and Steve Beam and wife, Debra of Barling; one daughter, Maria Beam of Fort Smith; two brothers, Bill Beam and wife, Marilyn of Mulberry and Larry Beam and wife, Jean of Van Buren; two sisters, Irene Elmore of San Pedro, CA and Elizabeth Smith of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Kevin Beam and wife, Cheryl of Van Buren, Amanda Frazier and husband, Dave of Glasgow, Scotland, Steven Beam, Jr. and wife, Sydnee of Fayetteville, Joshua Beam and wife, Elizabeth of Centerton, Brandy Ree and husband, Aaron of Fort Smith and Kyle Beam of Fort Smith; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Beam, Steven Beam, Jr., Joshua Beam, Kyle Beam, Eddie Smith, David Smith, and Aaron Ree

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 320 No. Greenwood Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.
