Kenneth was born on July 19, 1935 in Olfen, Texas, to JJ and Elsie Hoelscher. He also grew up, attended school, and married the love of his life, Delores Michalewicz, in Olfen. The couple was married on April 23, 1960 and spent 53 wonderful and eventful years together. During that time, they raised 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
He was a long time employee of Templeton Construction for 43 years, where he remained committed even through his cancer treatments. As a superintendent, he ran many important jobs throughout the Concho Valley and made many friends. One of his most recent projects included the San Angelo Stadium Field House. His strong work ethic kept him dedicated to the job until he was physically unable to be there, but he still missed it dearly.
Kenneth enjoyed making bullets, fishing, and visiting in the backyard. He was best known by family and friends for being a passionate outdoorsman, spending every chance he got at the deer pasture in Ft. McKavett, Texas. He had a special bond with his "pet" deer, which would gather around him and a bucket of corn at his feeder. He spent many weekends cruising the pasture and listening to his favorite music. Ken loved this home away from home, and loved sharing it with his family.
