Hello Julie
As a former obstetrical hospital chief in the Department of O/G at Mac I had occasion to work closely with Ken over a number of years. I always appreciated his opinion, wisdom and belief in the role of an academic hospital department in fostering excellence in undergraduate and post graduate training.
My condolences to you and all the family during this time of your loss.

Julie,Ken and I used to study together in the beautiful panelled library at the Sigma Chi House. He and I smoked Old Port cigars("Rum soaked and Wine Dipped".We were always alone because none of our Brothers could stand the blue smoke haze. When we flagged we were rejuvenated by the Everly Brothers singing "Marie The Dawn Is Breaking". What A wonderful legacy Ken leaves in his Family.

Julie: It is David Smith, of UWO and Sigma Chi days. I am truly saddened to hear of Ken's death. We had not seen each other in fifty years, but his memory as a fraternity brother and fellow resident at Sigma Chi house on Ridout Street, is very vivid to me. He was a man who inspired confidence and loyalty. My love to you and your family. David

Ken was Don's friend since childhood and was his best man at our wedding. He will be sadly missed but dying suddenly is a blessing, except for those left behind.
