Kenneth James Stapleton
August 22, 1944 - December 5, 2012
Ken left this world at approximately 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, December 5, 2012 to meet our Lord after a 6 month battle with disease. The struggle led him directly into the hands of the Lord. He will be missed by Anna Marie, his wife of 34 years, mother Meda Stapleton of Port Hope, brothers Robert (Barbara), Frank (Betty), sisters Lynda and Carol (Bill), Cheryl and Kimberly (children), Marie Jalsevac (mother-in-law), Stephen and Bonnie, John and Joanne (brothers and sisters-in-law), Annette (sister-in-law) and of course all his nephews and nieces whom he all had a special connection to. Ken also had a lot of friends everywhere he went. Whether they be from a social or business connection to the funeral business and I know, they will miss him too. Born in Oshawa, Ken was raised in Newtonville, ventured out to Toronto at an early age and dedicated himself for a span of more than 50 years with Hallowell Funeral Home and Trull's Funeral Home now SCI CANADA.
Visitation will be held at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2570 Danforth Ave. (at Main Subway) on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church, 3150 Danforth Ave., on Saturday, Decmeber 8, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. Special thanks to Bonnie, Fr. Michael and Fr. Jeffrey and the Sisters of Life. Donations can be made to Campaign Life Coalition, 104 Bond St. Suite 300, Toronto, Ontario M5B 1X9. I worked with Ken at Trull's when I was a young apprentice from the country thrown into the city. He was a gentleman that knew how to make you feel relaxed with his stories, his knowledge and his smile. Rest in peace, my prayers to the family.

Kenny, dear brother, I was so glad to see the love your friends along the Danforth showed you. I am glad you had that support in your life. It was an honor to be by your side when you passed away, it was peaceful. I wish you were closer so we could visit you but alas we will always think of you. You were kind and of gentle heart , not a mean bone in your body, a testament to people around you. We are going to miss you...Love Lynda & Elida

Uncle Ken will be greatly missed at our family gatherings. All my life I could count on Uncle Ken's warm smile and heartfelt greeting as a stable part of every special occasion. I remember so many conversations with Uncle Ken in his favorite corner on the couch in the living room. He always gave me a true sense that he was glad to see me and wanted to know how I was doing. I will miss him every time I am home. Uncle Ken and Aunt Anna Marie, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Paul, Meg, Colette, Joey, and Patrick

Anna Marie and family:
My deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time.
I felt honoured to have known Ken; enjoyed chatting with him, seeing him running off to the bus and especially hearing that "chuckle" of his as we laughed.
He will certainly be missed at the condo by all his friends.

Anna Marie, you are in our thoughts. What a gentle friend we have all lost. Kenny will never be forgotten, him at one end and his "Wing man" Smokey at the other. They were quite the team, loved being sent to GMS to see who could beat the other there, Kenny in the Coach, Smokey in the Limo. He left behind many great memories, sadly missed...

I was so saddened to hear about Kenny's death and send sincere sympathy to Annemarie and family. I worked as a receptionist at Trull's Danforth. Ken was very helpful coming to my recue one time when I ran out of gas on my way to work.
We had a good laugh about the woman driver who didn't think to check the gas gauge. He will certainly be missed by many.
Sincerely Barbara Messaros and husband Don
