Kert L. Newsome, 45 of Huntington passed away at 12:37 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. He was a member of the American Legion Post 85. He enjoyed sports and loved to watch wrestling, NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts. He liked to listen to Mariah Carey music.
Kert was born on June 16, 1966 in Huntington, the son of Fred and Lois (Little) Newsome.
Survivors include his parents: Fred Newsome of Huntington; Lois Newsome of Huntington and his maternal grandmother: Maxine Garretson of Huntington.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. following visitation at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Eugene Little officiating.
Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
