Kevin asked me to be part of his Steven Scott band in 82' after hearing me play the piano while singing several Billy Joel songs at the "Gazebo" restaurant in Roslyn. He took me under his wing as his exclusive keyboardist/singer, teaching me about the club date repertoire and provided a way for me to use my talents for the many hundreds of events that we worked at together under his leadership until 94'. I could not have asked for a greater man to work for in the club date industry during all those years of memorable occasions. Kevin took each job seriously, but at the same time made each job as much fun as possible. He promoted camaraderie in our band, sometimes inviting us all to go out to dinner with him and Linda at a nice restaurant. He would always complement you if you did a good job and his pleasant demeanor and personal warmth made you feel special. I will always miss catch phrases like "we're going to turn that record over now" or "In the mood for what?" or "At this time we would love to invite your kind attention." Kevin was the "prince of club date," a shining star, and a pleasure to work with. I will always reflect fondly on those wonderful musical occasions that he provided for all of us, his band members, and will never forget the fun we had and his smile. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

Dad, I prayed every day that you would not suffer and God heard me and answered my prayers. You were blessed to leave this world much the way you lived, calmly, peacefully, with dignity and a joke or two. You taught me how to not take life so seriously and to live well, take responsibility, trust in God and work hard enough to enjoy life and to laugh. Thank you for the time we shared and the sacrifices you made for me. I love you and I know you're in heaven playing your guitar and singing and having a great time. Till we meet again. Your loving daughter, Dee.
