Hoping Kevin's family & friends have healed somewhat from Kev's passing. He is in a good place now amongst the comedian section in heaven. Probably at happy hour enjoying some laughs and happy hour goodies. Miss him very much.

I knew Kevin when living in Chicago through some friends. I do remember his bad jokes and his great sense of humor. He was a fun person to be around and my condolences to his family and loved ones.

Kevin,
You filled a lot of souls with joy, laughter and one of strongest senses of loyalty. Most probably didn't even realize that you worked in the ski industry - I even had a difficult time determining this and I was your boss. Only because your were always a blast to be around and it never seemed like work. Much Love!

This has made my brother and I very heart sick. We met Kevin back in 1983. I met Kevin when we worked together at Walgreens, in the Crystal Point Mall. There was never a dull moment or an inkling of negativity in Kevin. When he smiled, we all smiled. We loved his corny jokes and had the best of times dancing at Cat Ballou's. I will always see him dancing when I hear "She Blinded Me With Science" how his smile just lit up the dance floor and everyone around him and boy, could he dance. He always remembered my brother, Jim and the "go cart" incident at Veteran's Acres and how he laughed so hard. We joked with him, he joked with us. We had just reconnected with Kevin through Facebook back in May of 2012 and had been laughing again. Now, I cannot even wrap my brain around him being gone. I will not say "good-bye" dearest, I will say "see you again". For the times my brother and I were allowed to be in Kevin's company and presence, we feel deeply honored and blessed. You are dearly missed, Kevin. Our prayers go out to The Krone family and Jane.

"(S)He's poetry in motion"...Thomas Dolby

Thank you, Kevin!

We love and miss you,

Kevin and Family ~
This is very sad news. I met up with Kevin at a Regis reunion Cub game back in 2009 and had been in touch ever since. I switched jobs in January and kept meaning to email him when I read in the Regis Alumni magazine of his passing. What a shock! I think I spoke to him in November or early December. Kevin was truly a gentleman and wonderful man. I'll never forget his smile.
I'm so sad for the family - my thoughts and best actions and prayers are with you. Kevin, I'll see you - I know you are with us in spirit.
Love, Peg Mahoney

Unsettling and upsetting to hear this news. My best to all of you, especially Bob and Liz, since you guys and your big brother were great friends to me during a crucial time of life. Peace, Ned O'Reilly

My deepest sympathies to Kevin's family and friends. Our fun times together are too numbered to list, but here are a few highlights: Shotski's at Bob's apartment.~ Road trip to ski at Devil's Head (cue Stevie Ray Vaughan soundtrack). "You are NOT going to drive the car across that frozen lake."~ Kevin catching a home run ball at Wrigley and throwing back an old one in its place. He didn't get away with it; Ryne Sandburg noticed the swap and the fans around him made Kevin throw back the real home run ball.~ Watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup and celebrating at The Mines. We shared a love of bad jokes and harmonica playing. Rest in peace, my friend. You brought a lot of laughter to this world.

What fond memories I have of Kevin. I still use a joke of his whenever someone happens to ask me the time and it's 2:30 - "a dentist's favorite time of day" (tooth-hurty). I will also never forget the time one of the crowd control staff in the Bleacher section at Wrigley field wanted to meet me -- and unbeknownst to me, Kevin invited him to join us at his place for a post-game barbeque. Kevin -- did I ever thank you?!?

You will be dearly missed, but your fun-loving spirit will live on everytime someone sits in the bleachers and bets on attendance, or which batter will get a hit.

Oh Kevin, you will surely be missed by many. I find it very difficult to believe you are gone. But the memories are there to remain. One of your greatest gifts was the gift of laughter. Thank you for the many laughs and wonderful memories. May the happy memories of you live on in the hearts of all those whose lives you've touched and help your family to get through this difficult time. Rest in peace, Kevin. You will not be forgotten.

Dear Jane and all the Krone family,
The news of Kevin's passing hit me hard and deep. He was introduced to me as a carpenter and all around "handy man", but quickly became a friend and very trusted worker. He aimed to please, always going the extra mile or two. He was a sweet and helpful and compassionate person. Reading all the loving tributes I realize that he was even more special than I had the opportunity to know. My deepest sympathy goes to his family, his long-time partner Jane and all of his dear friends. The loss is great. Rest in peace, dear Kevin. It was my great good fortune to have met you. I will not forget you.

To the Family of Kevin Krone,
There could be nothing worse than loosing a family member, a child, a sibling or a parent. Knowing that they are all together again is a comfort. There are so many good memories to have and hold. Always think of these. Keep Kevin near and dear to your heart, for Kevin lives on.

My prayers and deepest sympathies for Jane and the Krone family. Kevin had so many friends at Regis in Colorado I was lucky to be one. Kevins presence and personality sparkled @ any event. After graduation from Regis a group of us stayed in Denver to find our way into the workforce. Kevin provided the giggles and unbridled enthusiasm during a very significant time in our young lives. He was kind thoughtful and had a wonderful laugh

Kevin I was glad to know you these 40 years. The laughs we shared. You made the world a better place. I treasure those self-contained bike trips we took with Bob in the 80's. Just last year at my kitchen table we made plans for our next one. Rest in peace buddy.

Growing up in Crystal Lake, I got to know the whole Krone family. Dr. Krone first thru my mother and later, Mary and the kids when I became interested in theater in high school. Although I got to know Lee Ann and Bryan a little bit better than Kevin, he always seemed to have a smile on his face. Now whether that was because he had just thought of another joke or that was his outlook on life, I'm not sure.

When my brother notified me of his passing, I was very saddened by the news. Many times we invaded the Krone house after shows we had done and Kevin just went with the flow.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Keep smiling Kev.

My brother, my friend. It hurts more deeply than I have words to express that you were hurting and I didn't know to what extent. I learned so much from you and I promise I will always strive to love others the way you did me. I can't bring myself to say good-bye, so instead I will say, "Toodle-oo" as I know we'll be together again.

Kevin, I cannot picture you without a smile or a laugh. There are no words to say how sad I am that you are gone. I really cannot find those words. Even though I didn't see you often, I never felt the time lapse when we crossed paths.
You just were that kind of person. May you rest in God's peace.

Kevin, my heart is heavy of what to feel or say. I found myself pulling out pictures from my time in Chicago hanging out with the old gang and looking at the photos that I purchased from you nearly 20 years ago that hang in my home today. You shared your Life, your friends, your art. Those times were nothing but laughs and smiles. You were an awesome person, full of life. I will cherish always my memories of our friendship. I will miss you Kevin.

Kev,
I will never forget your love and passion for the Blackhawks. I already miss your inboxes with stats or links to youtube video's of Hawks highlights of yesteryear. A better Blackhawks fan, or Hawks historian, I've never known. You were indeed a gentleman, and it was my honor to call you my friend. I'm so happy, that through the magic of Facebook, we were able to reconnect a couple of years ago,and get together for a few cold ones, share a bunch of laughs, and even meet good ol #21, the great Stan Mikita.
The Hawks winning the cup, has just taken on a new meaning.
My deepest sympathy to your family. I have all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Kevin, when I married Mike and became part of your extended family, I always appreciated how you made everyone feel included and important. Your gift of the "shotski" on our wedding day made for many wonderful-if slightly hazy-memories! You were a master conversationalist and most importantly a kind soul. Your presence will be greatly missed!
