I just recently heard about Kil. I am devasted. Like so many others have said, Kil was not just my hairdresser but a good friend. My heart is broken for her daughters. I thought about them all day yesterday - their first Mother's Day since this terrible accident.
My thoughts and prayers are with Kil's family, employees and friends.

This morning I am shocked and saddened to have learned of Kil's passing. I am so sorry that her daughters, who she adored, will miss her comfort, her humor, and her optimism. I will miss her greatly too, as a friend and a very talented stylist. I am very sorry to have missed the memorial service but my thoughts will continue to be with your family and friends, Kil, in the years to come.

I just learned of Kil's passing this evening. I am shocked beyond belief. Like many others, I too have known Kil for many years. I first met Kil as a walk-in at Bubbles salon. That was almost 15 years ago. My Mom was always impressed with my hair and she eventually became a loyal customer of Kil's as well. I will truly miss her. She was such a warm, funny, and truly talented person. I actually had an appointment with her tomorrow...was so looking forward to seeing her....I will truly miss her and her laughter and smile. May God bless her family in this very difficult time.

Dear Jennifer & Christine,
I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn this terrible news about your Mom today. I met her in 2000 and she has been doing my hair ever since. She was a wonderful, funny, generous, and kind person and she loved you both very much. My heart goes out to you both - I will miss her very much. Kil was one in a million.

I'm really going to miss you. We've known each other for close to 12 years and you were the first to cut my son's hair. He always looked forward to seeing you and being showered with love and lollipops. I pray the Lord gives strength to your family during this difficult time. You always spoke so highly of your daughters, may they know just how much their Mother loved them. God Bless.

I first met Kil over a decade ago as a "walk in" when she was working in a salon in Tysons Corner Center. Over time, we became friends. When I got married, my wife began going to Kil. The, when my daughter was born and was old enough to get her hair cut, she too began visiting Kil. It was often a special treat for my daughter to see "Ms. Kil", get her hair cut and styled, and be pampered with a manicure. When sitting in Kil's chair, we would talk about our families, Korean culture, and life in general. My entire family will greatly miss Kil. Our deepest condolences go out to her family.

We just found out today when Jim went over for a quick pre-holiday trim. Kil started cutting my hair almost 11 years ago when I was a walk-in at Bubbles, then my husband's, and then my daughter and son. Kil made us feel so welcome and we knew how hard she worked. Over the years we heard so much about the accomplishments of her daughters and are so sorry for your loss.

My husband and I just found out....my husband has been a customer of Kil's for so many years. She was far more than a woman who cut his hair. She was a true friend. What a wonderful, vibrant and talented woman who at the heart was a loving mother. We pray for her family tonight.

Ron, Jennifer, Christine,
We are just heartbroken over your loss. I only got to meet Kim once, at a party at your home, probably 15 years ago, but I remember how truly welcome she made me feel. I know you all will strengthen each other in the coming weeks, months and years as you grieve and yes, eventually, you will begin to heal. God Bless you all.

I loved Kil - she was my friend who happened to style my hair (and was the only one!)I'm truly striken by this loss.Even though times were tough, she would slip me some hair-product and say 'don't worry about it' - after she did the hair, we would hang out(I was always there late) and just yak about everything.I miss her now, and will continue to miss her....Please remember her as the warm person she was, and take comfort in the fact that your Mom was so important to so many of us.

All of us who knew Kil can recall the friendly and warm greeting when entering her shop. Her personality could only be described as effervescent. Her devotion to her profession was exceeded only by her love of her family. My deepest sympathies to all of us who knew her, but first and foremost to her family.

Kil was my hairdresser and friend for almost 13 years. She lifted my spirits every time I visited her. She was so proud of Jennifer and Chris. Poor Yunia and Kang; what will they do without her? When I moved to Maryland, I still drove back once a month for a visit. I will miss her. I will have to find someone else to do my hair, but she can never be replaced in my heart.

Your mom was a great person. I was one of her clients and she was more like a friend. She always talked about her daughters and was very proud. Many times I would come into the shop and she always gave me some Korean dish to try because she liked that I would try anything. I will miss her a lot and know that my prayers are with you during this time.
