Frannie,
I'm so sorry to hear that Kim was taken from you and his family so early. Although we haven't seen each other in a while, I still remember all the time we spent together years ago, when we were in our teens and later when our kids were little. I especially remember our times camping in Elora Gorge (yikes.... that was 35 years ago). Man we had fun. Kim was a wonderful person. I remember his sense of humour and great personality and from the comments I've read, it seems like he never changed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, at this difficult time. Know that he will be missed and not forgotten.

On May 24th, we lost a brother, a father, a grandfather, a friend, and most of all, a good man that connected with everyone he met. We will always remember all the great times we shared. You're smile was infectious. At this difficult time we are sharing our thoughts and prayers with our sister, and brother-in-law, and the Koehler Family. Harv, the sun is shining a little brighter because God brought another angel home, even though it was far too early..... We love you Harv. Rest in Peace, and be back with ones you have lost. Lost, but never forgotten, and in our hearts for eternity.

Kim was my husband, partner and best friend all in one and a part of me will be bury with him this week. He has been taken from us way too soon but I am comforted by all the love he gave me over the years.

We had many great years and memories together and as I look back over our life together, I smile because I know he was the best thing that ever happened to me and because of him I have a wonderful family I am proud of.

Kim is taking a piece of me with him but he is also leaving me with enough love to hold me strong and carry me through until I am in his arms again.

I Love you Kim and always will.

Your wife, Francine

On behalf of the staff at the Catholic Education Centre located at 35 Weber Street West in Kitchener, we extend our deepest sympathy to your family. Kim was our CanPar delivery person and was certainly one of the most polite and thoughtful people we have had come through our doors. He always took the time to say hello to everyone and I never once heard him complain about anything. When we were advised of his passing, a lot of people said “Oh I remember him….such a nice man”. We hope that you take some comfort in knowing that Kim was among friends on Friday afternoon. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and that we ask God's blessing on your family…Kim was indeed a gentle soul whose kindness touched many throughout his life.

When the road you walk is dark May you see God's light on the path ahead

Reading through the previous entries, I am beyond touched to learn (what I already knew) ...

My dad was most definitely the man EVERYONE could love. His sense of humour was his biggest quality but his love to making everyone's day special was very important. He always told me; "if the job is worth doing; it's worth doing good" and he was definitely a man of his word there. As an employee, friend, father or husband he was always the same open hearted person that made you feel special and important.

Kim Koehler (my dad and best friend) will be missed so much by everyone that had the opportunity to meet his smiling face.

I was truly shocked this morning, when one of Kim's colleagues told us of Kim's death on Friday. He was our delivery person for about the past year, and was one of the friendliest drivers that have come into our organization. No matter how busy it was, he always had time for a quick hello and wishing well for the evening. I am sure that you are feeling a great loss as family, and that words definitely cannot take away the loss and shock that you must feel. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
