"I just found out while visiting Aspen Ice to watch my youngest son, Jeff play hockey, that Kirk had passed away. My heart sank as I became overcome with sorrow. I loved Kirk, what a great guy. I had been a neighbor, in Succasunna and then coached Kirk in hockey for several seasons in Roxbury. Jeff got to play with Kirk for many seasons and then against him in High School. Kirk spent some days with us at our home yearsw back. We all loved you Kirk, you were special and even though you moved away you were in a special place in our hearts. Paul and Lynda, Lois, Jeff and I send our love and prayers. I know Kirk is in Jesus' arms and will be in awe of his eternity in heaven. I can't wait to see him again. Thanks for giving me the chance to coach and appreciate him. What a great young man. God Bless, Bob Kuper.

Kirk was truly a gift to everyone who knew him & we have all become better people because of it. I will never forget his heartwarming smile & his appreciation for anything that was done for him. He also made the best cup of hazelnut cappucino while working at Greenes Bean & hurried to make it as soon as I walked in the door, always with a smile. You will always be in my heart Kirk, you were an awesome young man!!!

I feel so lucky to have known Kirk for 21+ years, but truly blessed to call him my son. Though he was denied a longer life, it warms my heart to see all the love that surrounded him, and continues to emanate from him and through him. You will be forever in our hearts my dear Kirk, and your spirit will live on through all of us who knew you! I love you son, and will be with you again one day in the paradise of our Lord!

I am so very sorry for your loss, Paul, Lynda, Andrew and Jonny.
Paul and Luiza told me about Kirk's love for animals, and how he and friends fostered a wonderful dog named Tank a while back....
In honor of Kirk, donations have been made to two San Diego animal rescue groups: Second Chance Dog Rescue and CATS Cat Adoption Service.
In sympathy,
Jenny Olsen (friend of Paul and Luiza)

Just close your eyes and you will see
All the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax and you will find
I'm really still there inside your mind
Don't cry for me now I'm gone
For I am in the land of song.
