Dear Alena, Paul and Anna,
I cannot offer words that will comfort you at this time. I am in shock and you are devastated with the loss of your husband and dad. Know only that you are loved and that Stan was more than a colleague to me as you know. He was like a brother. We did more than work together - we spent much time together. Trips to California, Highpoint, NYC and Vegas with many laughs and tears. I loved the banter that was between Stan and I - it made working together very enjoyable (even if sometimes uncomfortable - as he was better at it than I)
Certainly when you share family time together the bonds move tighter and closer and that is how I feel about Stan and his family. He has been in my home in Italy and I in your home in NJ. That is personal space that we share only with those we care about.
May our faith in God give us the comfort that we need at this time with the assured knowledge that this life is just a blink in eternity and that you and all of us will see Stan again after we too pass through the veil that shields this life to the next.
May we offer you our love and prayers and deep felt condolences.
